Yes, we’re back! Kinda-Sorta. I have this week off from music practices (well, at least until Thursday I think) so I’m posting a bunch of stories that were previously blogged over at Karakui.com. I’ll try to keep ‘em coming.

So I decided to check out the links I have on Karakui’s Blogroll (ya know, see which ones are dead and stuff) and the first one up is Kurara CHIBANA’s (the reigning Miss Universe Japan) blog. Scrolling down her page I find this very interesting post entitled “かわいいかわいい” that has pics of *gasp* her 12-inch PowerBook and (being powered up) her iPod nano and 5th gen 30GB iPod—both white. How cool is that? I guess Mac users are especially keen to this kind of stuff. We quietly (well, not all of us) cheer when we see a Mac (iPods no longer count because they’re already everywhere!) do a cameo on a TV show; in a print or TV ad (but not the focus of it); or in a coffee shop with 2006 Miss Universe Japan Kurara CHIBANA.
BTW, when we last visited her (i.e., her blog), Kurara was thinking of moving sites but as of her last post (dated 2006.7.16), she’s still there.

The title for this post will probably go down as one of the strangest for the site.
Garage Sale, a comedic duo from Okinawa, is currently featured in a CM for the Japanese energy drink Regain and the company has a kabegami (wallpaper) up for your Mac/PC. Gori (or more popularly known by his new character’s name, Gorie [pronounced “gori-eh”]) is the busiest of the two so it’s nice to see them sharing the spotlight, if only for an energy drink ad. If you’re interested in learning more about YAMADA Yu’s (22) life as one of Japan’s leading idols, she’ll be blogging about it over at the newly created “Yu”. The launch of Yu’s official blog (beginning with her very first post) on July 5th, coincided with her 22nd birthday and there’s currently a kabegami (wallpaper for you Mac/PC) present campaign if you join in as a member.
